Big4 Gold Coast Review – Kid and Dog Friendly Camping

Big4 Gold Coast Review – Kid and Dog Friendly Camping

Winter in Queensland. The sun is shining, and the daytime temperature is still higher than 20 degrees. No better way than to spend your weekend than at Big4 Gold Coast, which also offers dog-friendly camping. The location is ideal for exploring the nearby theme parks and other amazing attractions in the Gold Coast and its surroundings. We are quite lucky at Queensland Camping, as the Big4 is less than an hour from our home and has so much entertainment that kept us as busy or as relaxed as we wanted; we didn’t even leave the park.

If you like to camp in Queensland, join our Queensland Camping FB group, where you can talk with other campers, ask for advice, and share your own camping experiences.

BIG4 Gold Coast Queensland campsites

Whether you want to roll out a swag, pitch a tent, pop your camper top, or park a big rig. The Big4 Gold Coast has you covered. We were in a standard powered site for one night near the waterpark. If you are a light sleeper like myself, you might hear the highway noise, so consider booking one of the ensuite or riverwalk sites or packing some earplugs. But really, the highway noise is not something that would stop me from visiting this amazing kid- and dog-friendly caravan park.

Sites check in as early as 11am and cabins at 2pm, but give them a call if you would like to arrange an early or late check-in or a late check-out. Check-in has been made super easy with the paperwork being completed online prior to check-in. When we arrived, it was a very smooth process with a friendly staff member meeting us at our car and checking us in on their iPad. We then followed another friendly staff member to our suite, where they guided us to park our van in our site.

Both areas are licenced for liquor; click for the drink menu. The menu offers a wide variety of meals We decided to treat ourselves to dinner, and the prices were very reasonable, the servings very generous, and the staff amazing. They even have a fireplace that is on at nighttime during the cooler months.
