Secura Lifestyle Magnetic Gateway Townsville

 

This tranquil holiday park is located 10 minutes drive south of Townsville.  They offer unpowered and powered sites as well as cabins and bungalows. The amenities include outdoor cinema, swimming pool and campfire catchups. They are pet friendly and have dog friendly camping sites available.

Crystal Creek Campground 

 

Crystal Creek camping is booked through Youcamp and is privately owned and operated camp by Mungulla station.  They only have unpowered sites at the moment but powered sites will be coming soon as well as hot showers. So best to keep checking if you would prefer a powered site.  A this stage they offer bbq, fire pits, cold showers and toilets. It’s a great place for swimming, mountain biking and birdwatching.  They are a dog friendly campgrounds.

Prices: Starts from $31 for 2 people.

Big 4 Townsville Woodlands Holidays Park 

 

Set in tropical landscaped gardens this caravan park offers camping sites as well as cabins. It’s close to beaches and there is a nearby boat ramp for some great fishing. The amenities includes resort pool, water park, jumping pillow, trikes, mini golf, volleyball court and licensed bar/kiosk area. This is a dog friendly Big 4 with powered sites that are pet friendly.

This is a free camp that is 55km North of Townsville where you can stay for up to 48 hours. It’s a shady grassed area that has a small creek as well as a playground, picnic area, toilets and cold showers, non-potable water, bins and a dump point. It is close to the highway. This rest area allows camping with dogs.

Bluewater Park

 

This campground is 33klms away from Townsville and is a free camp where you can stay up to 24 hours.  The site has toilets, dump point, picnic areas, playgrounds and bins. This is another dog friendly camping.
