It’s also conveniently located with the bowls club next door and it’s just a 15-minute walk to the beach. If you need to pick something up at the shops, the nearest supermarket is a 20-minute walk away or a short drive away.

The Hervey Bay Caravan Park includes unpowered sites right through to ensuite self-contained cabins that can sleep up to 4 people.  While the campsites are dog-friendly, the cabins are not.  There is also an off-leash dog beach within walking distance.

The amenities include a camp kitchen, BBQ, swimming pool, laundry, tour desk, dump point and wifi.

If you are looking for a great fishing spot then look no further as the Great Sandy Strait at River Heads has a huge variety of fresh and saltwater species to name only a few include coral trout, bream, whiting, flathead, mackerel, tailor and mangrove jack.

They have a range of accommodation available including Gertrude the Gypsy Wagon, Bertha the Aussie Van and Mango lodge. It’s a dog friendly camping grounds, but they must be restrained so they don’t bully the kangaroos or hares.
