Hervey Bay Caravan Park

This peaceful Caravan Park is on 7 acres which is surrounded by a lake and nature reserve. This Hervey Bay dog friendly accommodation is also conveniently located with the bowls club next door and it’s just a 15 minute walk to the beach. If you need to pick something up at the shops, the nearest supermarket is a 20 minute walk away or a short drive away.

This pet friendly accommodation Hervey Bay offers includes unpowered sites right through to ensuite self contains cabins which can sleep up to 4 people.  While the campsites are dog friendly, the cabins are not.  There is also an off leash dog beach within walking distance.

The amenities include a camp kitchen, bbq, swimming pool, laundry, tour desk, dump point and wifi.

Price: Prices for two people start from $39 for a powered site and $33 for an unpowered site.

The Big4 is situated in a quieter location, a short drive from the city centre.   From this Hervey Bay dog friendly accommodation its just a short walk to the Point Vernon Foreshore Reserve.   There aren’t any shops nearby but as mentioned its a short drive into the centre of Hervey Bay where you’ll find plenty of supermarkets, cafes and shops.

Amenities include a camp kitchen, bbq’s, games room, laundry, dump point, playground, outdoor movies, swimming pool and heated wading pool.

The park offers dog friendly powered sites as well as a pet friendly cabin which can sleep up to 4 people.  The cabin also comes with a small kitchenette.

Discovery Parks Boat Harbour Drive

The Discovery Parks Boat Harbour Drive Caravan Park is a 15 minute walk to the esplanade and beach or short drive.  Its located in a quieter area but it’s just a short drive away from all the shops and supermarkets around Hervey Bay.

The park features an activity room, camp kitchen, BBQ, dump point, laundry, kiosk and swimming pool.

They have a range of accommodation, including spacious self contained cabins however for those looking for Hervey Bay pet friendly holiday accommodation, only the campsites are pet friendly.

Situated in a quiet location, the Lazy Acres Caravan Park is a 20 minute walk to Torquay Beach or a short drive away.

The facilities include a large saltwater pool, playground, modern amenities block, bbq’s, camp kitchen and a laundry.

The caravan park offers a range of accommodation from camping sites through to self contained cabins. Pet approval must be obtained for the pet friendly camping sites – pets are not allowed in the cabins.

Fraser Coast RV Park

Fraser Coast RV Park is not located in Hervey Bay, although its just a 15 minute drive away and is a great pet friendly spot so it was worthwhile including in this guide.  It’s also a great spot for those heading off to Fraser Island as its just a short drive to the River Heads Fraser Island Ferry.

At Fraser Coast RV park, there are loads of wildlife as the park is located in 40 acres of Natural Reserve.  Facilities include a fair dinkum bush kitchen, wallaby wash house and a large fire pit and some smaller designated ones,

If you are looking for a great fishing spot then look no further as the Great Sandy Strait at River Heads has a huge variety of fresh and saltwater species to name only a few include coral trout, bream, whiting, flathead, mackerel, tailor and mangrove jack.

They have a range of accommodation available including Gertrude the Gypsy Wagon, Bertha the Aussie Van and Mango lodge. It’s a dog friendly camping grounds, but they must be restrained so no catching kangaroos or hares.

Prices: For 2 guests, prices start at $30.75 for unpowered sites and $41 for powered sites.

Sunlodge Caravan Park

Like the Big4, Sunlodge is also located in Point Vernon which is a quieter area a short drive away from the city centre of Hervey Bay.  This is a small beachfront quiet and relaxed caravan park located across the road from the Gatakers Bay Foreshore Reserve.

There is a range of accommodation from ensuite caravan sites as well as motel style cabins and self contained water view cabins which are also dog friendly.  All the motel rooms and cabins come with a kitchenette so are great for preparing meals.

Facilities on site include a swimming pool, BBQ and laundry.  Plus the caravan park is close to a boat ramp for those that want to go out in their boats.

Price: Prices for 2 people starts from $40 for a powered ensuite site.  Each additional person is $10 per night.

Ingenia Holidays Hervey Bay is situated on the Torquay lakes and just 700m from Torquay beach, making this caravan park conveniently located for those planning on spending most of their time at the beach.

They have a range of amenities including a tennis court, playground, games room, bouncing pillow and two swimming pools.

They offer a range of accommodation including unpowered, powered and ensure sites and a range of self contained cabins as well as deluxe safari tents. However for those travelling with their dogs, only the campsites are pet friendly.

Located in Urangan, the Pier Caravan Park is in a super central location, just 300 metres from the famous Urangan Pier, numerous restaurants and cafes as well as the gorgeous Urangan Beach.

The Pier Caravan Park offers a range of powered sites including either grass or slab sites.  For those coming with their pet, the grass sites are pet friendly.
