You’ll enjoy a unique Longreach experience where the pioneering outback spirit embraces you as soon as you arrive at Longreach Tourist Park Queensland — also known as the Gunnadoo Caravan Park. After a day exploring the attractions of Longreach, you can relax by one of the two pools to cool down and then cook up a BBQ – there are several onsite. The Longreach Tourist Caravan Park also has the Woolshed restaurant, where you can enjoy dinner under star-lit skies and live shows.
During your stay, you’ll be well equipped at this Longreach holiday park with three large amenities blocks and four laundries. There is also a fully equipped camp kitchen for all your cooking needs.

Apex Riverside Caravan Park Longreach, once a free camping option in Longreach, now charges a small fee of $10 per vehicle or $40 per week. Located 4km outside the town, it offers a basic camping area for those that aren’t looking for anything more than a place to sleep. The campsite fee can be paid at the Longreach Visitor Information Centre, 99a Eagle Street, Longreach. There is also an honesty box at the campground for those arriving outside of the business hours of the visitor centre.
With no power, no potable water, or showers, this is one of the Longreach camping sites best suited to self-sufficient campers. Situated by the Thompson River, it offers excellent water views and fishing opportunities. The adjacent picnic area is 20m away and has toilets, BBQs, and picnic tables with shelters.
If you’re travelling with a dog and looking for a Longreach caravan park pet-friendly option, this is a good place to consider. Although this is one of the Longreach camping grounds to avoid if you’re travelling in wet weather, as the grounds can get muddy.
Longreach Caravan Park IBIS Street
